A scientist called Rafael Yuste is investigating neurons activity on mice. However back into humans research they have investigated the use of language. The human cortex controls the larynx, tongue, jaw, lips and face, all of which are involved in making the sounds that constitute
human speech. This investigation is an advance for victims of paralysis or stroke to speak.
