What is on our teenagers’ minds?

Over the weekend I help some teenagers in my neighborhood with the English language learning. Yesterday it was very interesting talking to them because they have the adventurous drive in their minds. I asked them to invent a short story, and on their minds they could think of traveling to Egypt, entering pyramids, visiting the pharaoh’s tomb, sailing through the Nile River…  This means they are not afraid of getting lost in the River or crashing against a rock… they trust emergency services such as firemen, or police… and they think their mobile phone will work even at the Nile River…. They told me they would be able to enter to a pyramid through a secret door and then steal all the jewelry from Tutankhamun’s tomb… and with that money buy a boat to sail through the Nile…. And later go to Madagascar and discover the bones of an old civilization and bring the bones here to the Science Museum in Spain for anthropologists to find out what type of civilization the bones belonged to….  For sure these teenagers nowadays find no limits, no boundaries for their adventures……. because the world is connected and we are able to cross frontiers every now and then…. Teenagers are amazing….!!!

This story they told me makes me think of the adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Mississippi River… !! Adventures are one of the things that make us feel humans alive!! And of course they identify summer time with the time for having the most mysterious and unknown fun time!!

Tell us about your experience with teenagers!!! We’ll be really happy to hear from you!! We need to walk along with them to lead them on our lives’ adventure!! and make the world better together!!!
